Droid 4 Launch Date, Buy One Get One Free, Double Data

wpid droid4 Droid 4 Launch Date, Buy One Get One Free, Double Data

This friday is going to be a pretty big day for Verizon customers, especially those looking to pick up the Motorola Droid 4. The device is going to be $199 on a 2-year contract. But hang on that’s not all big red has in store for you.

Verizon Wireless is bringing back their famous Buy-one-get-one free offer on their colorful lineup of Droid Razr phones, which include the Droid Razr Maxx. They are also bringing back the double data promotion so you can get 4GB of 4G LTE data for only $30 with any smartphone purchase. But look, that’s still not all Verizon has in store for us.

If you know someone that’s still hasn’t moved on to a smartphone, Verizon is giving out $30 giftcards in-store for those who are willing to leave their feature (dumb) phone behind and move in to 2012. Finally, if you have your eyes set on one of Verizon’s 4G Tablets, you can get $100 off with any smartphone purchase and a 2-year agreement.

Makes you wonder, can the other carriers out do Verizon with their Valentine’s day sales? These are some pretty great deals Verizon’s got going starting this Friday. So who’s running out to pick up the Motorola Droid 4? Or are you waiting on the Droid 4 Maxx? Hit up the comments and let us know.

Comparison Between Samsung Galaxy S3 And Motorola Droid Fighter

The constant rumor of the Samsung Galaxy S3 that is going on has caused much hype about the device and it is being hailed as the super phone of the year 2012. Last year’s super phone was Galaxy S2 which couldn’t be beaten by another android device.

But this year Galaxy S3 after its release faces a tough rivalry from Motorola Droid Fighter which is also being hailed as another super phone just because it specs rival the performance that will be offered by galaxy S3. Till now we have just rumors nothing concrete but rumors alone weren’t able to stop us from making this comparison.

Read on to find out which device might just end up dominating the mobile market.

According to the leaked images of the device it can be said that the device will come with a 4.6inch HD display and the 0.3inch of display will be dedicated for the dedicated Android 4.0 buttons. The display might be an SAMOLED Display sporting a resolution of 1280×720

On the other side the Galaxy S3 is said to be featuring a new generation of HD SAMOLED display which is rumored to be at 4.6inch and providing a greater pixel density at a resolution of 1280×720. The rumors aren’t concrete yet let’s wait and find out more.

Winner of this category is galaxy S3 because of new HD SAMOLED display.

Galaxy S3 will feature Samsung’s own Exynos quad core processor clocked at either 1.5Ghz or 1.8Ghz with Mali-T604 GPU which is rumored to be more powerful than the previous generations Mali-400MP GPU. The device has 1 GB of RAM.

Droid Fighter won’t be featuring a quad core processor but instead will be powered with dual core processor from Texas instrument clocked at 1.8 GHz with PowerVR SGX544 GPU which is built by Imagination Technologies. Droid fighter will also feature 1 GB of RAM.

Winner of this category is Galaxy S3 because of quad core processor.

According to the latest rumor about droid fighter it is said to be powered with 3300mAh battery which is the same battery powering the DROID RAZR MAXX as a result you can expect same battery life from droid fighter.

But if rumors to be believed then Samsung are planning to use a battery which is <2000mAh in Galaxy S3 if that is the case then the device will seriously be in trouble because with the larger screen and a quad core processor the device will need a lot of power and with a small capacity battery will seriously undermine the performance of this device.

Winner of this category is Motorola Droid Fighter.

So there you go a brief comparison between the numerous rumored specs of the devices. We know they are not concrete information but they are little bits of information that’s enough to keep you interested about the device.

Do let us know what you think about the devices and remember that this is just a comparison between rumored specs and nothing more. As more information becomes available we will update the post.

HTC Droid Incredible 4G LTE outed on DroidDoes site

Droid Incredible 4G LTE

Update: And it's been pulled. But not quickly enough.

We've been hearing rumors of a third Droid Incredible for some time, and today it looks like the device has been outed a little early on Verizon's "Droid Does" site. Head to droiddoes.com/droidincredible4g? and sure enough, you'll find images and specs for the HTC Droid Incredible 4G LTE.

The new Incredible's specs are a close match of one of HTC's new high-end GSM phones, the One S. It's got a 1.2GHz dual-core CPU, a 4-inch qHD SuperLCD display, and on the software side it's running Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich and Sense 4. It's rocking the same dual and rear camera setup as the One S too, with a VGA front-facer and an 8MP rear camera, presumably the same HTC ImageSense shooter that's found on the manufacturer's other 2012 handsets. The site says it'll come in at $299 on contract, which is in line with other leading Verizon devices.

We've got a full list of specs after the break. But do note that we're still waiting on official word from Verizon, so specs and pricing could still change.

Thanks @joshgatewood!

HTC Incredible 2 No Longer Available On Verizon Wireless – Droid Incredible 4G Nears

Jump onto Verizon Wireless’s site today, and if you’re looking for an HTC Incredible 2, you may notice that, although listed, the link to purchase is currently disabled, prompting “the selection you made is unavailable” page on the site (some regions could show “out of stock”). This is nothing more than a raging clue that the much leaked sequel — the HTC Incredible 4G — is inching ever closer for its debut on ‘ol Vee-zee-dubs.

We’ve pretty much seen and know, everything there is to know about the Incredible 4G, which should fit in nicely into Verizon’s mid-range lineup. The DINC 4G will feature compatibility with Verizon’s 4G LTE network, 4-inch qHD AMOLED display, and Sense 4.0 running on Android 4.0.3.

We’ve gotten word from our own trusted tipster that demo units for the HTC Droid Incredible 4G and Motorola DROID Fighter demo are set to arrive in Verizon stores sometime in the next 2 weeks (unless delayed). Looks like an imminent release is imminent (meaning, it’s pretty much imminent). We’ll keep you posted.

Thanks, Anon!
